      My name is Tamara and I am an interesting person with an interesting past. I was born poor in Sri Lanka and came to Canada in 2007 with only $ 100 and not speaking a word of English. But I was determined to make a good life here and I did. Quite soon after arriving here I got a job working at Tim Horton’s without being able to speak a word of English. That was tough. Then one day a Sri Lankan man came into Tim Horton’s and he offered me a job working at the restaurant that he owned. I started out there washing dishes but my duties quickly expanded and soon I became the chef and lead hostess. I worked there for 13 years.  People loved my caring personality and the genuine interest that I showed in them.
